Ernesto Inarkiev ((ロシア語:Эрнесто Инаркиев); born December 9, 1985 in Osh Region) is a Russian chess Grandmaster, the first ever from Kalmykia.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Ernesto Inarkev )
Inarkiev, who was named after Ernesto "Che" Guevara,〔New in Chess, 2006/7. Hail, young and unknown tribe!, p.66〕 was born in Kyrgyzstan and played for his native country in two Chess Olympiads, in 1998 scoring 6.5 points out of 9 games on second reserve board〔(33th Chess Olympiad 1998 Open: Kyrgyzstan ) Chess-Results〕 and in 2000 on fourth board with a 9/14 score.〔(34th Chess Olympiad 2000 Open: Kyrgyzstan ) Chess-Results〕
In 1999, he won the Asian Under-16 Championship and the Kyrgyz Championship.〔

In 2002, Inarkiev won the Russian Junior (Under-20) Championship in Vladimir with a score of 9.5/11.
In 2006 he came third in the 59th Russian Chess Championship Superfinal.
In 2010 he tied for 1st–4th with Konstantin Chernyshov, Lê Quang Liêm and Evgeny Bareev in the Moscow Open.
He placed third in the 14th Karpov Poikovsky Tournament with 5/9.
